Biography

Marisa Joss serves as deputy general counsel and corporate secretary at H2O America (NASDAQ: HTO). In this role, she supports the company’s board of directors and managing partners on matters related to corporate governance, compliance, and legal affairs. Marisa also oversees legal affairs for H2O America’s subsidiaries.

Since joining H2O America in 2022, Marisa has contributed her deep legal expertise, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to transparency and ethical governance. She assumed the role of corporate secretary in 2024, enabling her to further advance the company’s focus on sound corporate practices and stakeholder trust.

Prior to joining H2O America, Marisa served as deputy general counsel and assistant corporate secretary at Eleusis, a biotech company with operations in New York and London. She previously spent over a decade at Consolidated Edison, where she advised the board of directors and led key corporate governance and compliance initiatives.

Marisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and a Juris Doctor from New York Law School, where she was a Law Review member and merit scholarship recipient.
